Barleylands Farm Park is a children’s activity farm and craft village between Basildon and Billericay in Essex.
The Farm park has outdoor play activities including a bouncy pillow, zip wire, swings, play fort, go-karting, trampoline, tractor and trailor rides and miniature train ride. Indoors there is a giant play barn with a play frame where adults can play alongside their children on the slides, scramble netting, fireman’s pole, ball-blast arena and ball pool plus there’s also a large sand pit with mini diggers. Other things in the park include the farm animals, birds of prey, red squirrels, the small animal village, a wildlife walk, daily scheduled activities and the Discovery Centre has interactive exhibits about farming. Children’s parties catered for.
The Craft Village is home to a large number of retail outlets and workshops including glass blowers, blacksmiths, metalsmiths, performing arts, gift and collectables, hair stylists, craft activities, florists, clothes, jewellery, baking, photography, painting and pottery painting and crafting. The village is also the location of the Farmer’s market which occurs the morning of the 2nd and last Saturdays of the month from 8:30am and also has table top sales on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays during March to September (weather permitting).
