Beatrix Potter Gallery and Hawkshead

The Beatrix Potter Gallery is a collection of original Beatrix potter artwork all housed in a charming 17th century building, originally an office of Beatrix Potter's husband William Heelis. Inside you can also learn more about Beatrix Potter's life outside of her literary career. Learn about her interests in farming and conservation and how came to marry William Heelis.

The building is located in Hawkshead village a lovely Lake District village, which also features a National Trust gift shop and second-hand bookshop. Also not far away is Hill Top, Beatrix Potter's 17th Century farmhouse.
