Bignor Roman Villa is the remains of a Roman home and farm dating from the third century BC in Bignor village in the South Downs National Park.
First discovered in the early 1800’s, the villa contains some of the best preserved and most ornately decorated mosaic flooring in the world. Other things to see include the fountain in the dining room and the site is protected by Georgian thatched buildings which are historical in their own right.
