Chiltern Open Air Museum is an open air history museum located between Chorleywood and Chalfont St Giles in Buckinghamshire.

This outdoor attraction is in a rural setting on a 45-acre site and features historic buildings that have been relocated from elsewhere. There’s a vicarage, a croft cottage, some Edwardian public conveniences, a manor cottage, a forge, an Iron Age house, a toll house, a Chilterns farm, a post-war prefab house, a first world war Nissen Hut and some 18th century thatched cottages.

Other things to see and do include farm animals, historic toys and games, a cherry orchard, a woodland walk and there’s also a children’s adventure playground. Free audio guide. Caters for themed children’s birthday parties including cakes and crafts and teddy bears picnic and experience days.

  • During the open season the Museum will be open daily from 10am until 5pm (last admission 3:30pm).
