Crofton Beam Engines is a historic pumping station with working machinery in the village of Crofton near Marlborough in Wiltshire.
Located in a picturesque rural setting this pumping station dates from the early 1800’s and still has working machinery that keeps the levels of the nearby canal full when in operation. There are the Grade I listed original buildings including the boiler house with a coal-fired, hand stoked, Lancashire boiler and the engine room with two steam-powered beam engines.
