Situated on the Kent coast in the seaside resort of Deal is Deal Castle a Tudor castle built in the 1500’s by Henry VIII.
Viewed from above the castle with it’s six surrounding round bastions forms a flower-head shape. Now maintained by English Heritage the castle is fully explorable and features interactive exhibits about the castle’s history and an audio tour is included in the ticket price.
Open daily April to October from 10am and weekends during the rest of the year.
