Dinefwr is the remains of a 12th-century Welsh castle with historic house, parkland and deer park near Llandeilo in Carmarthenshire, West Wales.

This National Trust managed property consists of the remains of a castle, the historic Newton House dating from 1660, plus parkland and a deer park. Newton house, which replaced an earlier Tudor house, features lots of interesting architecural features including plasterwork ceilings. The interiors are furnished to give visitors a 1912 experience and also contains an art gallery. There are hidden house tour every day at 2.30pm which allow access to some areas not normally available to visitors.

The gardens and parkland include a fountain garden, croquet lawn and the wider parkland, which contains the castle, a herd of White Park cattle and the Deer park. The parkland is both a National Nature Reserve and a Site of special Scientific interest with ancient trees, rare flora and fauna and a bogwood, (also a mill pond) with a 500 metres long boardwalk across it, with benches. There are tractor-trailor tours of the park every Wednesday at 12.30pm (weather permitting) and also a children’s wooden play area.
