In a hilltop location with views over the Vale of Scarsdale, parts of this Castle date back to the 11th Century. The main building was constructed in the 1600's by Willam Cavendish and has an oppulent interior with elaborate fireplaces and beautifully painted walls and ceilings. The site includes a gift shop, cafe and picnic area.
