The Suffolk Owl Sanctuary is situated within the Stonham Barns Leisure and Retail Village and it is a comprehensive facility for the care and rehabilitation of owls and other birds of prey from the area.
There over 80 birds of prey at the Centre, including hawks, eagles and falcons aswell as owls all housed in spacious aviaries. There are also a few other types of animals to see at the sanctuary namely chipmunks, ferrets, red squirrels and a family of Meerkats. The Meerkats are housed in a purpose-built facility, Meerkat Kastle, located in the Woodland Walk, where there are twice-daily feeding sessions. Other areas of the Sanctuary include The Barclays sensory garden and a picnic area. There is also a mini-maze and an adventure frame for children. Flying displays are held at weekends.
