Wimpole Estate is a mansion with gardens, a working farm and parkland and is located South West of Cambridge in Cambridgeshire.

Owned and run by the National Trust this attraction has a large country house with Georgian interiors and collections of fine furniture, porcelain, pictures and books. Visitors can view a selection of rooms in above and below stairs areas. Some of the points of interest include beautiful wall murals and plasterwork and a library with a collection of more than 10,000 books. Guided basement tours available (booking required).

The formal gardens include the pleasure grounds with plants from around the world, a parterre garden, orchards and an 18th century walled vegetable garden with glasshouse. Tours available for groups.

Home farm is the working farm belonging to the estate and has many farm animals to see including rare breeds. Visitors get to interact with and feed some of the farm animals, have a go at various farming activities and see demonstrations. The farm also features a number of 18th century thatched farm buildings.

The 3000 acres of Parkland is Grade I listed and includes some SSSI areas. Made up of open fields, lakes and an ancient woodland belt, the park includes a small deer park and a ruined Gothic tower. Leaflets available at the shop detail walking and cycling routes, plus there are five geocaching locations to find.

Tickets are available to purchase for whole property, just the garden, just the farm or a combination of those three.
