Dartmoor Zoological Park

Dartmoor Zoological Park is a 33 acre walk-through zoo located near the village of Sparkwell in Devon and only 5 miles from Plymouth.

As featured in the 'We bought a zoo' book the zoo was purchased in 2006 by a family with no previous zoo experience. The family continues to develop the park and have redesigned the enclosures to give visitors better views of the animals and allow uninterrupted photography. Some of the animals you can see at the park include monkeys, lions, tigers, cheetahs, jaguars, lynx, otters, birds of prey, ostrich, wallabies, wolves, spiders, scorpions, amphibians, reptiles, reindeer, monkeys, foxes, bears and meerkats.

There is an education centre and daily scheduled talks, feeding times, a falconry display and handling sessions. Children's playground. Experience days available.
