Lichfield Heritage Centre is a local history museum located in St Mary’s Church in Lichfield city centre.
Exhibits include the the Staffordshire Millennium Embroideries (a depiction of the last thousand years of Staffordshire history), the treasury (silverware from the Staffordshire regiment and the Diocese), the Lichfield heritage collection (Lichfield’s history told with photographs, memorabilia and newspapers, etc. ), two short films about Lichfield’s history and a display of the town’s charters with the earliest dating back to 1553. You can also go up to the church spire’s viewing platform to take in views of the city and surrounding countryside.
