Lincoln Cathedral is a historic cathedral with parts dating back to Norman times in Lincoln city in Lincolnshire.

Said to be one of the finest Gothic building in Europe, this cathedral is located on a hill near Lincoln castle. The cathedral has a 1000 years of history to explore and beautiful architecture to marvel in. Amongst the things to see are stone carvings including grotesque figures, wooden carvings, Medieval stained glass windows, Gothic and Norman architecture, the ‘Wren library' designed by Christopher Wren and one of the four remaining copies of the Magna Carta dating from 1215. The Medieval and Wren Libraries also have rare books and manuscripts on display.

There are a number of tours visitors can take included in the entry price. The Floor tours cover the history and architecture of the cathedral and take approximately 60 minutes, Roof tours go up onto the cathedral roof and close to the stained glass windows and last around 90 minutes (limited spaces). Finally during April to October there are Tower tours where visitors can climb up the highest tower. The Nave, shop and morning chapel are free to access without paying the entry fee and there is free access to other areas on Sundays when there are no tours.
