Quince Honey Farm is a family run honey producing business based in South Molton with a shop, bee-themed exhibition and soft play area.
The farm manages 1500 beehives in various locations around the Devonshire hills and moors where the bees feed mainly on purple heather flowers, creating a much sought after flavour to the honey. The farm in South Molton features a shop selling their honey plus other items that incorporate the bee-derived products such as honey marmalade, skin products and candles.
The farm also features Beeworld, an exhibition all about honeybees featuring 18 live hives to view through protective glass, plus information about bees, their life cycle, their interaction with man, how they communicate and bee-keeping. There is also bee-themed indoor soft play area with slides and scramble nets and a climate controlled tropical booth containing a colony of leaf cutter ants to view. You can also arrange to have a children’s Bee-themed birthday party at the farm.
