Speke Hall, Garden and Estate is a timber-framed Tudor manor house with grounds set next to the River Mersey near Liverpool airport in Merseyside.

The house was built in the 1500's and, after a period of dereliction, restored in Victorian times. Things to see include the priest hole and spy holes, the Tudor great Hall, Jacobean plasterwork and interiors influenced by the Victorian Arts and Crafts movement. Room guides in each room.

The grounds include Victorian restored gardens with a lawn, a kitchen garden, rose garden, an orchard, a stream garden, a hedge maze and a children's play area. There is also a semi ancient woodland with bird hide, meadows, a dam, a 1960's bund (earth mound to reduce noise pollution from the airport) and views across the river Mersey.

  • Free car parking.
  • Shop selling gifts, local produce, plants, garden items and home wares.
  • Home Farm Restaurant serving hot meals and cream teas.
  • Stable Tea Room serving snacks and cream teas.
  • Dogs on a lead welcome in woodlands.
