Woburn Abbey, home to the Duke of Bedford, consists of the Abbey itself, the gardens and a 3000 acre Deer park.

The origins of Woburn Abbey dates back to the 1100's when it was home to a group of Cistercian monks and only came into the Russell family during the 16th century when it was given to them by Henry the VIII. The abbey's 3 floors includes a large private art collection, a porcelain collection, the silver and gold vaults and the Blue Drawing room where afternoon tea was invented in the 1840's by the then Duchess of Bedford.

There are also 30 acres of gardens to explore including a bog garden, woodland glades, ponds, manicured lawns, flower gardens, kitchen garden and aviary. The gardens are also the location of a garden show held every year in June and outdoor plays during August.

The deer park contains 10 species of deer including fallow and red deer all roaming free. Also owned by the Duke of Bedford is the nearby Woburn Safari Park.
