The mill buildings consist of what is known as the Old mill, the mill house and the New mill. The Old Mill, which includes the waterwheel, dates from the early 17th century and was updated during the early 19th century. The Mill house was built during the 18th century to house the miller’s family. The country park is a nature reserve providing fishing, cycling, walking and bird-watching opportunities. There is a reservoir with weir and bird-hide, mill pond, meadowlands, part of the Dearne and Dove Canal and disused tramways. Day fishing tickets available.
