Campfield Marsh is an RSPB nature reserve on the shores of the Solway Firth, featuring a mix of saltmarsh, peat bog, wet grassland and farmland habitats. Visitors can follow trails and boardwalks across Bowness Common to spot wading birds, wildfowl, dragonflies and seasonal wildlife throughout the year. It's a peaceful, family-friendly place for walking, birdwatching and exploring one of the UK's largest estuary landscapes.

2026 Update: The lookout platform offers the best elevated views over the estuary. Note: While the main car park is 800m from the hide, there are dedicated Blue Badge spaces located right next to the hide for those with limited mobility.
