Isle of Wight Zoo is a walk-through zoo in Sandown on the Isle of Wight.
This family-run animal attraction is located near the sea front at Sandown on the site of an old Fortress. The attraction has a number of exotic animals to see and specialises in big cats and lemurs. They have tigers, lions, jaguar, monkeys, meerkats, wallabies, raccoons, coatis, giant Madagascan rats and a number of bird species including owls. There is also a small animal indoor handling area with guinea pigs and rabbits and a farm animal area.
Daily scheduled guided tours around the different zoo areas occur at regular intervals and there are also daily meet the wallabies sessions for £2 per person (as at June 2014), children under 10 will need to be accompanied by an adult. There is also a children's play area. Caters for birthday parties and experience days.
