Arlington Court and the National Trust Carriage Museum consists of a 2,700 acre estate with gardens, the carriage museum and a Regency house 8 miles from Barnstable in North Devon.

In the house you can learn about the history and fortunes of the Chichester family who owned the estate for over 500 years, including the last owner Miss Rosalie Chichester who left the estate to the National Trust. There is a varied collection of things to see in the house reflecting the travels of Rosalie including a collection of model ships. There's also bat cam room where you can see the 2 species of bat that have made their home in the cellars.

The 30 acres of pleasure grounds surrounding the house includes woods, flower meadows, lawns, lakes, a formal Victorian garden, a conservatory and a walled kitchen garden. The wider estate is home to deer and rare breed live stock. There are around 20 miles of footpaths you can wander around the grounds and estate.

The stable block is where the carriage museum is located and features around 40 19th century carriages on display, plus other carriage related information and an interactive display. Tickets available for gardens and museum only or including the house too. Children's play areas in the pleasure grounds. Tours for pre-booked groups.
